SPRING, the Italian National Cluster of Circular Bioeconomy, was created in 2014 and today it has over 130 members, representing all the stakeholders active in the circular bioeconomy value chains. The aim of SPRING is to encourage the creation of a strong, cohesive, and representative community, represent its interests towards regional, national, European, and international institutions, and promote visibility and awareness among the general and specialist public. To achieve its objectives, it identifies and exploits existing and potential synergies with all existing players at global level.

Role in the project:

SPRING will leverage on its expertise on business models for bio-based solutions and its knowledge of bioeconomy value chains, as well as on the results and tools developed within the POWER4BIO project, to present good practices and examples of already on the market solutions and contribute to the creation of new business models (WP3, WP4).

In WP5, SPRING participates as a pilot-region, with a case study related to the Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste (OFMSW) and related value chains in Tuscany, involving a network of regional mono and multi utilities.
